Canadian carrier Virgin Mobile has just announced it has updated one of its older data plans for tablets and included a few new ones that can be used in both Canada and the United States.

According to an internal document leaked by the guys over at MobileSyrup, the carrier updated its $5 Tablet Flexi-Data Plan to offer 250MB for $15, instead of the original price of $20.

In addition, Virgin Mobile blocked U.S. data roaming on this plan in order “to protect our border hopping Members from high data charges.”

There’s also a new Tablet Flexi-Data Plan that offers subscribers 500MB of data starting at $45 per month that can be used in both Canada and the U.S. This plan can increase up to $190 monthly for 5GB of data that can be used in both countries.
