Today, mobile phone carrier Verizon Wireless has officially confirmed plans to make the HTC One smartphone available on its network starting with August 22, 2013.

The flagship Android-based smartphone was announced back in February, and has been rumored ever since to land on shelves at Verizon; yet, no specific detail on its availability has been provided until now.

Today, however, Verizon confirmed not only that the smartphone would be launched next week on its network, but also the fact that it would sport a price tag of $199.99 (€150) with the signing of a two-year contract agreement.

HTC One packs a 4.7-inch full HD screen, a quad-core processor inside, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal memory, a 4MP UltraPixel photo snapper, front camera for video calling, and support for the wireless carrier’s 4G LTE network.
