South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung has been long rumored to plan the launch of a handful of Galaxy S5 versions, and it appears that one of them will feature model number Samsung SM-G900V and that Verizon Wireless will carry it.

Today, what appears to be a camera sample from the handset has emerged online, courtesy of @evleaks (it was published on flipboard a while ago), confirming that Samsung will pack the phone with a 16-megapixel camera on the back.

While there is no official confirmation available on this, rumors on the matter did emerge before, suggesting that Samsung might not go for a 20MP sensor on the upcoming flagship handset.

The EXIF data attached to the image points in the same direction, though there’s no telling on whether the photo was indeed taken with the Galaxy S5 or not. Hopefully, more on the matter will emerge soon, so stay tuned.
