Tom Bui, a developer working on the Steam digital distribution service at Valve, says that the company is interested in launching more titles in the future in order to make sure that it gives players plenty of chances to find experiences that are interesting to them.

Indiestatik quotes him as saying that, “The primary problem right now is that we simply cannot ship as many games as we’d like. What matters is that we give customers the chance to buy your games and let them vote with their dollars. We realise that we are failing in this regard and are working to fix it.”

Steam is the biggest digital distribution system on the PC and it’s unclear exactly how the team at Valve might increase the number of releases without overwhelming players.

Recently, Valve has introduced Trading Cards for many of its games and the Greenlight system is also performing well.
