After already showing off the Unreal Engine 4 to developers, Epic Games has finally posted a video with its next-generation technology for the rest of the world, giving gamers a chance to see just how titles for platforms like the PlayStation 4 or Xbox 720 might look like.

Epic Games has shaped the current generation of videogames thanks to its impressive Unreal Engine 3, which has been used by a variety of other developers in order to craft their experiences.

With the upcoming Unreal Engine 4, Epic is setting its sights on next-generation consoles.

After many demonstrations behind closed doors, the company has finally presented the new technology to gamers from all over the world.

In the video above, you can admire the technical demo that shows off a wide array of effects possible with Unreal Engine 4.

In the footage below, Epic’s Alan Willard goes in depth and shows off the engine’s other possibilities.

Everything you see in both videos is powered by a current-day PC with a single Nvidia GTX680 graphics board.
