Rumors on the upcoming Motorola X-Phone continue to surface online, but there’s nothing certain when it comes to the US-based company.

The handset manufacturer suffered from a recent restructuring after being bought by Google and there’s no telling if Motorola will continue to launch smartphones.

The company closed most of its stores from all over the globe and we recently heard several hundred employees from the R&D department in China would be fired in the next few days.

Anyway, it will be interesting to see if Motorola manages to release the rumored X-Phone, which seems to be just a project for the moment.

The folks at Tinhte.vn have just got their hands on an unannounced Motorola smartphone, which proves the company is still working to bring new products on the market.

Dubbed Motorola XT912A, the smartphone may be just a sample device that might never be released in the end. All in all, let’s just see what the XT912A has to offer.

First of all, this is not the rumored Motorola X-Phone. The specs don’t look like it could rival other flagship smartphones that will be available on the market in the coming weeks.

Motorola XT912A sports a 4.65-inch HD (720p) capacitive touchscreen display and read camera, which is likely to count 8-megapixels.

On the inside, the smartphone is said to pack a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, which is complemented by an Adreno 320 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.

The phone is powered by a 2200 mAh Li-Ion battery and features a front-facing camera for video calls.

The XT912A runs Android Jelly Bean operating system, but there are no mentions on the platform’s version so we must assume it’s 4.1.

Other highlights of the smartphone include: audio jack, microUSB and on-screen buttons. No word on availability yet, so stay tuned for more updates on the matter.
