Ubisoft has given some details about the Nintendo Wii and PlayStation Portable new entries in its popular Ghost Recon franchise. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon for the Wii will focus on cooperative multiplayer, while Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Predator will try to emulate the gameplay from the HD-console counterparts.

As Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier has recently been delayed into 2011, fans of the series will be able to enjoy two new titles bearing this name, both of which will be launched in November 2010 for the Nintendo Wii and the PlayStation Portable.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Predator is the name of the PlayStation Portable rendition of the tactical shooter franchise and it is set in the jungles of Sri Lanka where the Ghosts have 72 hours to pave the way for the coming US invasion.

Apparently, some evil third party has provided the United States government with false intelligence, meant to attract the country in a devastating war. Player will have access to high-tech equipment like drones, air support and prototype weapons.

The Ghosts will be able to gain experience as they fight through the tropical environment, with numerous upgrades being available for players who want to customize their characters. Cooperative multiplayer will also be available for up to three players.

The Ghost Recon rendition on the Nintendo Wii will allow players to fill in the shoes of Hibbard and Booth, two soldiers that have been separated from the rest of their team in Moscow and now must fight their way to complete their objectives and survive the mission.

The game is build from the ground up with local cooperative multiplayer in mind. Two players from a third person perspective on the same screen will be able to play together and the developers are promising the experience will be seamless and natural.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier will be released on the PC, PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360, making these two version the only current low-fi alternatives.
