14 DAY TRIAL // The official Twitter application for Windows Phone 8 devices has received a new set of enhancements in the latest release, namely version 3.0.0.0.
The new app flavor arrives on handsets running under Microsoft’s mobile operating system with a series of personalization options, including the possibility to customize the Twitter backdrop with either a dark or light theme.
Furthermore, following the update, users will be able to select favorite Twitter accounts to be notified when they tweet.
The updated app also allows users to pin keyword searches to the home screen for quick access, while also delivering improvements to the Search and Discover sections.
The app also includes support for 13 new languages, so that users could get tweets translated in their timeline. There is also a new Twitter lockscreen experience included, destined to highlight tweets on the home screen.
