Beta 21 for Total Commander 8.0 adds nothing new to the package and deals with several fixes. It repairs a problem with unpackaging from CAB file with active quick filter, which could also include hidden items.
Also, in the case of hard links, when deleting to recycle bin using the new method, the app would report a non-empty, despite the fact that it would just delete the link, not the files inside.
Fixes are available for the stable version as well, CAB unpacking issue being among them, together with hard link deletion. You can check the entire list of changes for both versions on this page.
