It's hexagonal, it's small, it's sleek, and half of it is a heatsink

I've seen a whole bunch of cases made specifically for the Intel NUC mini PC, Next Unit of Computing as it were, but none of them were ever as peculiar as the one that Streacom put together.

The hexagonal shape is one thing that stands out, since the NUC doesn't normally, stray from the rectangular or cubic form factor.

More unusual is how the hexagon is partitioned, however. One half is the actual case, where the electronics are held. The other is a large, metallic grey colored heatsink made of aluminum. It's like having two triangles or rather prisms, fused together.

The name of the new chassis is NC3. The half of the hexagonal case, the triangle/prism that holds the hardware is made of ABS plastic by the way, and it is colored black (NUC started out as blue, since that's Intel's favorite color).

The CPU has a base that takes the edge of the heat, while a heatpipe guides said heat to the heatsink that we have mentioned before.

As for connectivity, there are cutouts for two USB 3.0 ports, Ethernet, mini-HDMI and mini-DisplayPort. Plus, of course, the power button. Finally, an infrared receiver is added to the feature set as a bonus.
