CD Projekt Red’s big surprise planned for reveal this week might be The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf for consoles like the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, at least according to a couple of retailers which just put up listings for the game.

The Witcher 1 delivered an impressive experience on the PC, and developer CD Projekt Red planned to adapt it onto consoles like the Xbox 360 or PS3 in the form of Rise of the White Wolf.

Sadly, due to financial problems, it had to suspend its development while it focused on the very successful The Witcher 2, which was just re-released in the form of an Enhanced Edition last month.

Now, according to retailers CoolShop, via CVG, and Blockbuster, via GamersGlobe, it seems that The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf is soon coming to the PS3 and Xbox 360.

No other details are available for these listings but, considering CD Projekt Red is set to hold an announcement tomorrow, it’s likely that console owners will soon be able to experience the first Witcher on their platforms.
