The Hobbit: Kingdoms for Android was launched back in November 2012 and it took developers about five months to offer a major update.

The good news is that the new update brings lots of new contents and some improvements, while the bad news is that there are still lots of bugs that have yet to be fixed.

According to the official changelog, there’s a 3rd city available for players, which will be enabled in all Worlds soon.

Furthermore, new dwarf troops (Dwarf Palanx, Boar Archers and Catapult Wagons) and Elf troops (Mithlond Guards, Galadhrim Lancers and Great Eagles) have been added.

Developers have also confirmed that the game will allow players to win powerful tier 4 troops through in-game events. Last but not least, new daily log in rewards have been included, along with some game performance enhancements.

The Hobbit: Kingdoms 5.0.0 is now available as a free download via Google Play Store and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.1 and up. Check it out here.
