2K Games is confident that its upcoming The Bureau: XCOM Declassified shooter will stand out from other games scheduled to appear in August, like Splinter Cell: Blacklist, Saints Row 4, and more.

The Bureau: XCOM Declassified was finally re-revealed to the world last month as a tactical third-person shooter that acts as a prequel to last year's turn-based strategy experience XCOM: Enemy Unknown.

The game is set to appear on August 20, in North America, and August 23, in Europe and the rest of the world, right alongside many other big games, like Splinter Cell: Blacklist or Saints Row 4.

According to 2K Games' Simon Turner, who talked with MCV magazine, The Bureau can easily stand out among the other titles thanks to its "strategic elements combined with its unique setting and narrative-led gameplay mark this game out from the crowd."

"We will appeal to a different audience so the look, feel and targeting of this campaign will be very different," he added.

Considering many games want to avoid coming out in September due to Grand Theft Auto V's launch that month, other titles could also appear in August.
