Electronic Arts and DICE confirmed that the they're working on a new Star Wars: Battlefront game at E3 2013, revealing a short teaser trailer and stating that the new title won't be just a rebranded copy of the studio's Battlefield games.
The Star Wars: Battlefront franchise was a huge success many years ago and, after the closure of developer LucasArts, many fans hoped that a new Battlefront would appear from another company, like EA, which secured the rights for Star Wars video games.
At E3 2013, DICE revealed that it is, in fact, working on a Star Wars: Battlefront game.
Besides the short teaser trailer available above, EA's Patrick Bach revealed to IGN that the new game won't be just a combination of the studio's Battlefield series with the Star Wars franchise.
According to him, DICE is still in the pre-production process and it's currently looking "at the history of the Battlefront franchise to reverse engineer it... to find out what it was supposed to be."
