14 DAY TRIAL // Unless you lived under a rock, you couldn't have missed the video of a family's pet cat saving a four-year-old boy from a dog attack. The feline-turned-hero, called Tara, became an Internet sensation after the boy's father posted the video of the incident on YouTube to show the entire world his cat's amazing feat.
For those out of the loop, little Jeremy Triantafilo was riding a small bike in his driveway when he was suddenly attacked by a neighbor's dog and Tara came to his rescue knocking the dog off and chasing it away.
Well, the video went viral with millions of views since being posted on Wednesday, and the now famous cat is getting offers to appear on magazine covers and receive awards, according to TMZ.
Apparently, Cat Fancy – a monthly magazine dedicated to cats, owners of cats, and breeders of cats – contacted the Triantafilos because they desperately want Tara to appear on their upcoming cover.
And that's not all, as the Cat Fanciers’ Association also wants to reward Tara for its bravery. TMZ says that the association plans to present the feline with its first-ever “Hero Cat Award” at its upcoming awards show.
A series of memes began circulating on the web after the video of the hero cat went viral. Some of them dub Tara “The Super Cat” and show the feline dressed in a Superman costume.
Another one is poking fun at the infamous Jay Z-Beyonce-Solange Knowles elevator fight, and features a picture of Jay Z asking where the cat was when Solange was captured on security footage punching and hitting him.
