Telltale Games and Gearbox Software have announced that they will be present at the SXSW interactive media festival next month, offering more details on their upcoming collaboration Tales from the Borderlands.

The Tales from the Borderlands project was announced during VGX 2013 in December, and at SXSW panel the two companies will most likely reveal how the partnership came to be, along with how the crazy shooting action of Borderlands will translate into Telltale's characteristic narrative-driven adventure formula.

Telltale Games has already adapted The Walking Dead TV series and The Wolf Among Us comic to an episodic adventure video game formula, and quite successfully so, and a Game of Thrones series is also on the table for them.

The panel will feature Gearbox President Randy Pitchford and Franchise Director Matthew Armstrong, and Borderlands 2 writer Anthony Burch, alongside Telltale President Kevin Bruner and designer Harrison Pink.

The event will be taking place on Saturday March 8, 2014, and will be moderated by Kumali Nanjiani and Emily Gordon of the Nerdist Network.
