It might be available for only $100 outright

The Lumia 640 is already available in the United States via Cricket Wireless carrier, but many Windows Phone fans are patiently waiting for T-Mobile to launch its own version.

Since the Magenta carrier confirmed a long time ago that it would offer the Lumia 640 at some point, the only thing left to learn was the exact release date of the smartphone.

Unfortunately, T-Mobile is still keeping the Lumia 640 page on its website with the “Coming Soon” tagline, so there's no way to tell when exactly the phone will go on sale unless inside info doesn't leak.

The good news is some internal documents suggesting the smartphone could be launched at T-Mobile on June 17 leaked several days ago.

However, as we reported last week, the Lumia 640 will only be available at T-Mobile as “ship to (direct fulfillment),” which means it won't actually hit shelves at the Magenta carrier.

It should be available for around $100 outright

But the folks over at WindowsCentral have been tipped on the fact that T-Mobile Lumia 640 will also be available for purchase at Walmart beginning June 20.

The information doesn't come as a surprise at all since the same device was spotted last month inside some Walmart stores.

Actually, at least two T-Mobile Lumia 640 smartphones were sold back in May, which suggested the major retailer might indeed stock the device at some point.

Since we're so close to Lumia 640's launch at T-Mobile, we will probably know more once the Magenta carrier shares more details on when and where customers will be able to grab the smartphone.

As for pricing options, T-Mobile Lumia 640 is expected to go on sale for around $100 outright, which is the same price the units at Walmart were sold for last month. Stay tuned for more updates on Lumia 640's release at T-Mobile.
