Staples stores across the United States are reportedly selling the entry-level Surface RT at a very special price, even though no public announcement has been released so far.

A report by WPCentral reveals that Americans can now buy the 32 GB version of the Surface RT for only $399 (€308), down from the original price of $499 (€385).

There are no details on the discount and no price cuts are available on any other version of the Surface tablet, but the source rights that this campaign runs through early June, so you should hurry up if you really want to pay a smaller price for the device.

Word is that Microsoft is also getting ready to release the second-generation Surface tablet at the BUILD developer conference in June, so discounts for the existing versions pretty much make sense.
