A new promotional message from the PaySafe card maker has confirmed that the Steam Summer Sale of 2014 will take place between June 19 and June 30, confirming previous speculation and reports about the long-awaited promotion.

Summer is already underway in the Northern hemisphere and, with it, many gamers across the PC, Mac, or Linux platforms are awaiting a new traditional sale on the Steam service from Valve.

After hearing some reports about a mid-June start and seeing the brand new Mysterious trading cards pop up as rewards for game badge crafting on the digital distribution service, a possible confirmation has appeared.

More specifically, a new promo email from the PaySafe Card company, via NeoGAF, mentions that the 2014 Steam Summer Sale will kick off on June 19, on a traditional Thursday, and lasts until June 30.

This set of dates match previous reports and respect Valve's tradition about starting sales and events on Thursdays.

As of yet, however, the company is silent about its new summer sale, so don't expect any sort of confirmation until June 19, when the actual promotion is set to begin.

Until then, you might want to stock up on Steam wallet funds or ensure that your credit card has enough cash for all potential purchases.
