As was leaked in the last few weeks, the Steam Summer Sale of 2015 has kicked off today, June 11, worldwide. The first day of deals brings discounts for a suite of impressive games, such as Grand Theft Auto 5, or Don’t Starve, as well as franchises like XCOM or Metro.

Valve’s Steam service has tens of millions of users all around the world, and while many of them use the digital distribution program every day, most of them tend to log back in when big sales or promotions are underway.

Steam Summer Sale 2015 is a monster one

After the big Winter Sale at the beginning of the year, the long-awaited Steam Summer Sale of 2015 has just arrived today, June 11.

For the first day of the promotion, Valve has quite a few interesting daily deals on titles like Grand Theft Auto 5, Wreckfest, Farming Simulator 15, Hotline Miami 2, Tales from the Borderlands, The Binding of Isaac, Darkest Dungeon, Valkyria Chronicles. Franchises like XCOM, Metro, or Sniper Elite are also on sale.

As always, there are also flash sales for games that will expire in a limited time, like Darksiders, Mirror’s Edge, Outlast, F1 2015, FEZ, Black Mesa, and more.

There are also plenty of general discounts on hundreds of titles across the Steam storefront, but as a general tip, it’s usually worth it to wait and see if they’ll get bigger discounts as part of upcoming daily or flash deals.

A special mini-game is available for all

As opposed to previous deals, this time around, Valve has also included a special Monster Summer Game activity, as users must work together to unlock special deals for tomorrow. Special rewards, badges, and trading cards are also available for this activity, so there are plenty of incentives to take part in the mini-game, especially since it's free for all Steam users.

You can check out all the discounts on the official website.
