Blizzard has cut down the price of Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty in its online store from 60 dollars to just 30 (44.5 Euro to 22.25) and the offer seems to be linked to both the boxed version and the digitally distributed version, although at the moment the offer is only available for those in the United States until November 28.

In Europe gamers still need to pay 60 Euro to get the game because the offer in the United States is linked to Black Friday, seen by Blizzard as a strictly American event.

The strategy game has done very well for Blizzard in July, despite being launched exclusively on the PC, and the price cut might be a way of making sure that as many gamers as possible pick it up in order to get a large install base for the Heart of the Swarm expansion.

It has not yet been dated but chatter from Blizzard suggests that it will be launched during the summer of 2012.
