BioWare has just revealed the very first details about Star Wars: The Old Republic Update 2.4, confirming that the patch will come out on October 1 and includes a new short story arc around the planet Oricon, as well as plenty of new operations and other such things.

Star Wars: The Old Republic went free-to-play last year and, since then, developer BioWare has released quite a few big updates, like the upcoming patch 2.3, which introduces bounty contracts and many new things.

Now, BioWare has revealed on its forums that Update 2.4 has a target launch date of October 1 and includes a short story arc centered on the planet Oricon, which throws players against the Dread Masters.

What's more, two new operations are included in the update, Dread Fortress and Dread Palace, as well as new 4v4 Warzone Arenas and fresh Elder Game PvE and PvP gear.

BioWare will share more details about the patch in the near future.
