The carrier might replace them with new, high-end smartphones

Apparently, wireless carrier Sprint is gearing up for the release of new devices, even if no info on this has been unveiled for the time being.

However, this should be the reason for which the company is getting ready to end the life of existing devices, such as the HTC EVO 3D and the EVO Shift 4G, as a recently leaked document over at SprintFeed shows.

The fact that these smartphones are about to be phased out supposedly hints at Sprint’s plans to replace them with newer, more appealing phones.

HTC’s EVO 3D might be replaced by another 3D device, such as the Optimus 3D Cube that LG announced yesterday. As for the successor of HTC EVO Shift 4G, we can only hope that it will be a higher-end slider, but this is only a supposition for the time being.
