Xperia Z Ultra, the large Android-based smartphone that Sony made official only several weeks ago, is now available for purchase in India, via online retailers.

The Android 4.2 Jelly Bean-based handset can be seen listed at both Infibeam and Saholic with a price tag of Rs. 44,990 ($762 / €576) attached to it. As XperiaBlog notes, the phone will ship to users in 5-6 days.

Xperia Z Ultra was made official with a large 6.44-inch full HD touchscreen display, a 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor packed inside, and 2GB of RAM.

Furthermore, the smartphone arrives on the market with 16GB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 64GB of additional storage, an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, and a 2MP front camera for making video calls, while being powered by a 3000mAh battery.
