Sony’s Xperia S smartphone has started to receive a new firmware version in the UK, namely 6.1.A.0.453, recent reports suggest.

Apparently, the new software is being sent to generic Sony Xperia S handsets, which are currently running firmware version 6.1.A.0.452.

However, it appears that there are no visible changes included in the new software release, which suggests that Sony has packed it mainly with fixes for some of the bugs that the previous release packed inside.

It should also be noted that Sony also had a new firmware version for Xperia S certified, namely 6.1.A.0.454, through no specific info on what it might include has emerged so far.

Sony’s Xperia S went official earlier this year, at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, and is currently the company’s Android-based flagship phone for the international market.
