The team at Sony preparing the launch of the new PlayStation 4 says that, at the moment, it has no plans to launch a bundle of the next-gen console that would also include the PlayStation Vita handheld.

Fergal Gara, who leads the United Kingdom division of the company, tells The Official PlayStation Magazine that a bundle is not an interesting proposition for potential customers, but that Sony will try "to put them together alongside each other as at least a great companion trade up sale."

Since the PS4 was first announced, the company has said that many if not all games will have a second screen experience linked to the Vita.

Presumably, Sony is waiting to see how the new device will perform on sale before creating custom bundles for certain categories of players.

The PlayStation 4 is out on November 15 in North America and on November 29 in Europe.
