Sony Mobile is preparing new smartphone models for the Chinese market, one of which should be the recently leaked Sony LT25c, rumor has it.

The new mobile phone has made an appearance on the AnTuTu benchmark website, where it showed a fast 1.5GHz dual-core application processor, though it’s not sure whether it is the MSM8260 or the MSM8660.

The handset, powered by Google’s Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, managed to score 7,544 in the test, as XperiaBlog reports.

The benchmark was reportedly taken in China, and the LT25c model number suggests that the smartphone is indeed destined to make an official appearance in this country.

Rumor has it that this device would land on shelves with a large touchscreen display on the front, proving a high-end device, similar with the Xperia S.
