Sony has been long rumored to plan the launch of new high-end smartphones running under Android before the end of this year, and some more info on one of them has emerged online, suggesting that it might be released under the name of Sony i1.

The smartphone, previously spotted as Sony Honami, is said to arrive on shelves as the first smartphone in Sony’s upcoming One Sony lineup, and to sport a 5-inch touchscreen display, the same as the Xperia Z.

According to the latest reports on this device, Sony might be set to pack it with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and an Adreno 330 GPU, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal memory.

The smartphone is also rumored to sport a 13MP or higher camera on the back, 3000 mAh battery, and Google’s Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean platform loaded on top.
