The European and the United State divisions of SEGA have confirmed that they planned to launch Sonic Generations on the PC as powered by Windows via digital distribution.

The game will be launched via the Steam digital distribution service from Valve and will benefit from full implementation of the Steamworks service, including the ability to get saves on the Cloud system and then access them on other computers.

The game also comes complete with full stereoscopic three dimensions support, a number of Achievements and online leaderboards.

The game is designed to celebrate 20 years of existence for Sonic as a character and will allow players to get through a number of classic stages with both a modern and a classic Sonic character.

The plot is based around the 20th birthday of the character when a strange time vortex spreads all his friends to different time zones.

Generations will be launched on the 4 of November on all platforms.
