South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics is expected to bring to the market a 3D-capable smartphone as soon as next year, some of the latest reports around the Internet suggest.

Samsung would be yet another handset vendor to make such a handset available for purchase, following the release of smartphones like LG Optimus 3D or the HTC EVO 3D earlier this year.

Samsung has yet to confirm these plans, but chances are that the device will be included in the popular Galaxy S line, and that it will feature the Galaxy S 3D name when made available for purchase.

The upcoming handset is also said to sport dual-cameras on the back, which will enable it to record images and videos in 3D.

Provided that these rumors will pan out, we should see the new handset made official during either CES or MWC in early 2012, while having it on shelves sometime in the second quarter of the next year.
