South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung is reportedly gearing up for the release of a new tablet PC on the Canadian market, none other than the LTE enabled Galaxy Tab 8.9.

Apparently, the handset vendor already confirmed plans to bring the device to Canada, but they did not make an official announcement on the exact release date, nor on the price tag it would feature.

No carrier to have the new device on its offering was announced for the time being, but chances are that Bell, Rogers and even TELUS will add it to their offerings.

The tablet PC arrives on shelves with a 1.5 GHz dual-core application processor packed inside, as well as with an 8.9-inch WXGA display (1280×800), a 3MP camera on the back, and a 2MP snapper on the front.

The Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE runs under Google's Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS.
