As we advance towards MWC 2015 at a face pace, leaks revolving around the Samsung Galaxy S6 have multiplied like mushrooms after the rain.

Thanks to the multitude of tidbits which is continuously slipping through the cracks, we currently know of most of the specs the Galaxy S6 will arrive with. In an earlier piece, we even highlighted what we believed are the features that will make you want to buy Samsung’s upcoming flagship.

Anyway, a few days ago we saw a bunch of very realistic renders of the Galaxy S6 which were created by taking into the account leaked cases and pieces of the phone.

The result looked pretty familiar to our eyes, because it bore a staggering resemblance to Apple’s latest iPhone 6. Will Samsung be the latest company to join the ranks of the iPhone 6 cloning industry?

Samsung Galaxy S6 is taking after the iPhone 6 a lot

It appears the answer is yes. Two schematics depicting the new flagship have surfaced online (via Sam Mobile) revealing the dimensions of the device. But that’s not all they show.

According to the sketches, the Galaxy S6 will be 6.91 mm / 0.27 inches thin. The full dimensions are 143 x 70.8 x 6.91 mm / 5.6 x 2.78 x 0.27 inches which makes the Samsung phone quite similar to the iPhone 6, which boasts 138.1 x 67 x 6.9 mm / 5.4 x 2.6 x 0.27 inches.

To compare, the Galaxy S5 comes in at 142 mm x 7.5 mm x 8.1 mm / 5.5 x 0.28 x 0.31 inches, so the Galaxy S6 has been slimmed down, which is good news.

Is Samsung going for protruding cameras too?

Another highly interesting aspect revealed by the designs is that the Galaxy S6 will apparently take advantage of a protruding camera on the rear side. It seems that Sammy won’t be stopping with replicating the iPhone allure while its next flagship is concerned.

Word on the street has is that Sammy will go on to use a 20MP OIS (optical image stabilization) module, which is probably what we’re looking at in the pictures.

If this turns out to be the case, the Galaxy S6 will be on par with LG’s upcoming G4 flagship, well at least in the photography department.

Come next month, we'll finally know if any of the rumors circulating online turn out to be true or fake.
