Although Samsung did not confirm any plans to bring the Galaxy S III in Australia, it appears that the South Korean company will bring the third-generation Galaxy smartphone in the country after all.

The folks over at PC World Australia have just been invited to a launch event on May 31. The timing coincides with Galaxy S III’s release in Europe, so we can safely assume Samsung Australia will announce its super-phone at the end of the month.

Even though the smartphone has yet to be introduced in Australia, it’s almost certain that the Galaxy S III will hit shelves at all major carriers in the country, including Telstra and Optus.

All that remains to be seen is the smartphone’s exact hardware configuration. Stay tuned for more update on the matter.
