It looks like Samsung is currently rolling out an Android 2.3.6 update for the Galaxy Note in India. Details on the update’s change log are scarce at the moment.

According to the folks over at AndroidOS, the update is reportedly delivered via Samsung Kies Samsung desktop software.

Apparently, the software build number N7000XXKL3/N7000ODDKL1 brings the phone’s firmware version to Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread.

For the time being, no other important changes have been reported but it should improve the phone’s performance and possibly fixes some minor bugs.

The update is probably pushed in stages, so Galaxy Note owners shouldn’t grow impatient if they don’t get the update first hand.

It will take several days for Samsung to complete the deployment process, so it is recommended to check manually for the update from time to time.
