South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung is said to have managed to sell over 20 million Galaxy S4 units (supply basis) in the first two months of the device’s availability.

The info reportedly comes from JK Shin himself, and should put an end to speculation regarding the lower-than-expected sales of the device. Galaxy S4, the latest flagship Android-based smartphone from Samsung, was made available for purchase in late April and had managed to reach 20 million sold units before the end of June, it seems.

Samsung also confirmed that South Korean sales of Galaxy S4 had reached 500,000 units in the aforementioned two-month period.

As SamMobile notes, Galaxy S4 has indeed managed to prove a faster selling smartphone than its predecessor, the Galaxy S III, which reached the 20 million sales mark 100 days after its release.
