Sabayon Linux, an operating system designed for Linux enthusiasts who want the latest packages and the best performance, but don't want to spend days getting things working properly, is now at version 9.

According to the developers, Sabayon Linux 9 is one more step toward world domination and they wouldn't be wrong if we kept in mind that no less than six flavors are available for download: GNOME, KDE, Xfce, SpinBase, ServerBase and CoreCDX, for those who like Fluxbox.

The biggest changes in the new version of Sabayon are Linux kernel 3.4, Gnome 3.2.3, KDE SC 4.8.3, Xfce 4.10, LibreOffice 3.5.3. Also, the Linux kernel for the 32-bit version is PAE.

The Gentoo Hardened profile has been introduced into the Sabayon, securing the base system, and Rigo, a search-based, modern, modular and scalable application for browsing Sabayon packages, has replaced Sulfur.
