Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia is getting ready to come to the market with its first MeeGo device sometime in early 2010, the previously rumored Nokia N9, and some more info on the handset's specifications list emerged recently.

Northing was confirmed on this device for the time being, but this is something that we are already accustomed with. However, we'll take the info with a big grain of salt, at least until something more solid on the handset emerges.

According to My Nokia Blog, the newly spotted specification for the yet unannounced Nokia N9 emerged via twitter, it seems, form a Twitter conversation between @camb078 and @addiermedina, two authors of Nokia blogs.

According to them, when brought to the market, the Nokia N9 would sport a 1.2GHz processor inside, along with a 1600mAh battery to offer it extended usage time.

Moreover, the new mobile phone should arrive on the market with a 4.2-inch OLED screen, as well as with 768MB of RAM and 1GB of ROM.

The specifications list of the upcoming device would also include a 12-megapixel photo snapper with Carl Zeiss lens, most probably offering at least the same performance levels as the camera packed on Nokia N8.

As stated above, previous rumors suggested that the Nokia N9 might be launched as the first Nokia device to run under the new MeeGo operating system.

Whether the rumors would indeed pan out, it remains to be seen, especially since nothing was unveiled on the release date or availability of this device either.

In all fairness, it would make perfect sense for the handset to be unveiled during the first half of the next year, though it might not arrive on shelves before mid-2011.

Intel already confirmed that the first MeeGo phone won't arrive until next year, and CES or MWC might bring an announcement on the matter. For the time being, we'll leave the info on Nokia N9 in the rumors side. Stay tuned for more info on this.
