Leading mobile game publisher Rovio is getting ready for the release of a new update for Angry Birds Space, one of the versions of its popular Angry Birds game for mobile platforms out there.

The new update should bring along an unspecified number of levels on the Red Planet, a teaser video from the company unveils.

The launch of this update comes in line with the successful landing of NASA’s Curiosity rover on Mars in the Gale Crater.

According to the teaser, the update is set to become available sometime this fall, but no specific release date has been provided as of yet.

Rumor has it that this update will have users defending stolen eggs by launching pigs into the air to stop the birds. Have a look at the teaser above and keep an eye on this space for more updates on the matter.
