Shortly after announcing the availability of their Roku application for iOS devices, the developers introduced an Android version, which is now available for download.

Roku app allows users to control their Roku players with their Android devices. Basically, users can turn their Android phones into touch remote controls.

With Roku for Android users can launch any Roku channel, instant replay, back or browse hundreds of channels and games in the Roku Channel Store, as well as use it as a keyboard for text entry.

According to the developers, this application works with all Roku players, but users would have to connect their Android devices to the same network as their Roku player.

Roku is now available as a free download in the Android Market and it should be available with all devices that run Android 2.1 and up.
