Video game publisher Namco Bandai and developer Bugbear have announced that the March 27 and March 30 launch date for their racing title Ridge Racer Unbounded will not be met and that the game will be pushed back for an unspecified period of time.

The two companies have not offered very clear reasons for the new delay, only saying that the developers need the time in order “to pack the disc with features that will truly make the game sing”.

Ridge Racer Unbounded was, as the name implies, set to offer a free roaming experience that also focused on user-generated content, and is set to be launched on the PC, the PlayStation 3 from Sony and the Xbox 360.

The publisher has also said that it plans to talk about a new set of launch dates very soon and will deliver information on the kind of content that players who pre-order will get access to.
