The game has an aura of mystery around it for now, but it definitely looks intriguing

Michael Ancel, the creator of Rayman and Beyond Good & Evil, has revealed a brand new IP, exclusive to the PlayStation 4 console, titled Wild.

The game comes from indie studio Wild Sheep Studios, a project that Ancel is working on in his free time, rather than his next big project at Ubisoft. For the time being, whatever he's doing at Ubi is being kept secret, so we don't know yet whether it's Beyond Good & Evil 2 or something else entirely.

In any case, Wild was revealed at Sony's Gamescom press conference yesterday, held in Cologne, Germany, and it's an open-world game set in a huge natural landscape that's touted to be as big as the entirety of Europe, and to feature dynamic weather and seasons and a wealth of meaningful interactions.

The game is set in a rather wild setting, as the name implies, and its most intriguing feature is the fact that you'll be able to play as pretty much everything, every creature from the sprawling world, from the traditional humans to the various creatures that roam the landscape.

The trailer shows both male and female humans, as well as all sorts of animals such as bears, wolves, hawks and sheep, and the developers said that you would be even able to play the game as a trout.

In addition to this, there are also some fantastical creatures such as skeletons, giant simians and a giant, horned anthropomorphic goddess.

For the time being, there is no information regarding what kind of game Wild actually is, but we'll get back to you as soon as we find out more.
