After a bit of teasing yesterday, Insomniac Games has just confirmed alongside Sony that it's working on a new Ratchet & Clank game in the long running franchise.

This is Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus, a downloadable experience for the PlayStation 3 that will be out during the holiday season.

The Ratchet & Clank series has delighted many PlayStation owners over the years and across many platforms.

After the completion of the Ratchet & Clank Future saga, Insomniac is back, wants to start a new adventure in the series, and has revealed Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus.

The new title will be a downloadable experience, although it will be priced at $29.99/€29.99, and will focus on Ratchet's personal story arc.

Brian Allgeier, the same creative director behind Tools of Destruction and A Crack in Time, returns for the new game and will make sure the experience includes the trademark blend of adventures, humor, and heart.
