Qplaze announced that, together with GSC Game World, have started working on the mobile version of one of the most awaited projects of the year - S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl. The 3D-shooter mobile game will be published by NOMOC Publishing Company.

Andrey Baranovsky, president of Qplaze, declared: "This game became a hit before it was released. And our great experience of creation of high-quality mobile games will be a pledge of the fact, that its mobile version will be no less awaited and interesting. Of course, taking into account mobile platform specificity, it will not be just porting - we will create our, unique mobile product, completely corresponding to the plot and the spirit of original game."

The mobile version of the game S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl will be a three-dimensional shooter, with stealth elements and mini-quests. The game will use an advanced 3D engine, that will allow it to run even on weaker phone models. The plot of the game will be directly connected to the plot of the PC version - players will meet known characters, heroes, objects and locations - but will not be an exact copy. S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl will feature a realistic battle system, that will include detailed hit model, bullet wounds and real types of weaponry.

Boris Sheulov, Vice-president of Qplaze, stated: "I'm sure, admirers of PC-version of S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl will appreciate its mobile analogue. We will make efforts to create beautiful, modern shooter with the history supplementing the history of original S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl."

The release of the game is scheduled for September, 2007.
