Galaxy Nexus, the latest Google phone out there, has been sold out during the pre-order period at Sprint in the United States.

The smartphone is set to become available for purchase at the wireless carrier on April 22nd, with support for LTE connectivity.

At the moment, users who rush to Sprint’s website to place an order for the smartphone will receive the following message: “Pre-order inventory sold out, but you can claim your Galaxy Nexus on 4/22.”

Galaxy Nexus went official in October last year and was made available for purchase at Verizon Wireless several weeks later, also with LTE capabilities inside.

The smartphone – manufactured by Samsung – will provide Sprint’s customers with the full Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich experience, since it does not feature OEM customizations on top of the platform.
