Sony is trying to show off all of the features baked into its PlayStation Vita handheld platform, and has deployed a fresh video that focuses on the cross-play functionality between the Vita mobile device and the PlayStation 3 home console.

The PlayStation Vita is set to appear at the end of the month in Europe and North America. As such, Sony’s been releasing more and more details about the console and its various features.

After taking a look at the social aspects of the device, the company has now launched a video that looks at the cross-platform functionality between the Vita and the PlayStation 3.

As you can see in the footage above, the feature allows Vita and PS3 owners to play together the same game, like Wipeout 2048, during online multiplayer matches.

Check out the two devices working together above and get ready for the Vita’s release on February 22.
