Sony has just released firmware update 2.06 for the PlayStation Vita handheld console, improving the stability of the system's software when executing certain functions or running different features.

The PlayStation Vita handheld console has been released for over a year in North America or Europe and, despite not becoming a sales success, the portable device is still being supported by Sony.

Now, the company has just rolled out a brand new software update for the PS Vita, taking its firmware up to version 2.06.

Unfortunately, Sony hasn't exactly revealed just what's included in the new software update but, according to Gamepur, it improves system software stability for a specific set of features.

Just what those features are, however, is still a mystery.

The new PS Vita software 2.06 can be downloaded right from the console by connecting it to a wireless network or by using a PS3 or a PC to apply it.
