Sony has apparently confirmed that the PlayStation 4 next-gen console is going to be released in Europe in 2013, as the company ran a special ad in UK newspaper Metro, unveiling that the PlayStation 4 will appear until the end of the year.

The PlayStation 4 was confirmed to the world in February and Sony revealed at that time that the console would appear in the holiday season of 2013 in at least one territory, probably North America.

Since then, rumors have speculated that Sony is pushing its limits to also release the PS4 in Europe until the end of 2013.

Now, it seems that Sony has achieved this, as a full-page ad run in the Metro newspaper confirms that the PlayStation 4 is out in 2013.

The advert ties into the upcoming UEFA Champions League final and reads: "Now is the time. The world's greatest players are going to entertain, create and amaze on the ultimate stage. This year a new generation will push the boundaries of play and share in moments of wonder. This year players will become legends. PS4. Coming 2013."
