14 DAY TRIAL // PopCap Games, the popular developer of casual experiences like Bejeweled, has confirmed that Plants vs. Zombies 2, the long-awaited sequel to its great tower defense title, will be released in early summer.
PopCap was acquired by EA some time ago and, since then, the casual studio has had a bigger push towards social platforms like Facebook, while still working on actual titles for regular devices.
Now, after confirming that the Plants vs. Zombies series is making its way onto Facebook with Plants vs. Zombies Adventures, the studio has confirmed that it hasn't forgotten about the already announced Plants vs. Zombies 2.
The sequel to the popular tower defense title is now scheduled to appear in early summer, according to an official statement, but no other details are available just yet.
Even so, you can expect the same great tower defense gameplay as well as new types of plants and zombies.
More details are bound to be shared as we get closer to summer.
