FIFA and Sony Music announced today that the official anthem for the 2014 World Cup football tournament is going to be the “We Are One” track sung by Pitbull, Jennifer Lopez and Claudia Leitte.

The song is going to see its released in the next couple of months and its obviously going to be performed as the World Cup opening ceremony. By that time, the artists will also be working on a video for “We Are One (Ole Ola).”

Speaking on this great news, Pitbull is quoted as saying “I truly believe that this great game and the power of music will help unify us. Because we are the best when we are one.”

As in previous years, FIFA has decided to introduce a local talent on the track. This year it's Claudia Leitte, a renowned singer in her native Brazil, who is also a judge on the reality talent show The Voice Brazil.

The choice for these artists might not have been so difficult to make, since Pitbulls and Ke$sha's collaboration, “Timber” is currently at the top of the Billboard 100 for its third consecutive week.
