Microsoft announced earlier this year that Cortana would arrive on Android and iOS, but in addition to that, to make sure that all users can benefit from the power of a Windows PC no matter what phone they own, the company also revealed a Phone Companion app to let them control the content on their mobile device.

The recently leaked Windows 10 build 10147 is the very first to come with this Phone Companion app, which Microsoft also confirmed would arrive in a preview build later this year.

But with the launch of Windows 10 on July 29 rapidly approaching, the company is very likely to make it available in the next build, as the leaked version shows that some work has already been done.

But in build 10147, the Phone Companion app is completely locked and you aren’t allowed to do anything for the time being, but expect all features to be available sometime soon.

The Phone Companion app will allow users to connect their Windows Phone, Android, and iOS devices to a Windows 10 PC and instantly get access to content stored on the phone, such as photos and videos. You can also take notes on your PC with OneNote and send them to your phone, organize your music, create new playlists, and access OneDrive content from the PC screen.
